Storm Goretti has left some homes without power for up to 48 hours, which means food stored in fridges and freezers may no longer be safe to eat.

If your fridge has been without power for more than four hours, perishable foods should be thrown away.

1st September and it’s Spring in Cornwall .Is it any surprise that all the wildlife seems to be totally confused as we slide closer to climate disaster.

@GoldenTreeUK @Cornwall_NL I personally think it’s a shame that stone from the local area is no longer the stone used to build Cornish hedges. Granite and mining waste have been used for hundreds of years in many parts of Cornwall. These hedges take a high skill level to construct .

Agricultural land graded 3b is just as good for growing arable crops as 3a.

The presumption against building solar panels on land graded 1, 2, and 3a should be extended to 3b.

@BBCSpotlight I have not seen what remained of the stump from this tree but the stumps of sycamores in my garden regenerate very quickly. I would have thought this was likely to happen in this case as well.
