Ngrok and cloudflare are popular tunneling options but devs find the non-persistent tunnel hostname and request throttling a pain point. Some devs just want a UI (or web UI) to manage their tunnel and inspect traffic or replay requests. @packetriot is a great alternative that can do all this.

I find Super Productivity a great tool to organize myself and track what I want to get done:

Ngrok is a usual choice for tunneling but devs find the changing hostnames and request throttling to be a pain point. @packetriot is a great alternative.

@testingcatalog You can use https://t.co/fkyPeo2Vof to access Hermes Agent as well. It's easy to throw up an extra auth portal to shield it from the rest of the internet.
@hilmirafiff Bandwidth limits on @packetriot are pretty generous and there is no per-request throttling. Plans are based on bandwidth use only.

@packetriot is a comprehensive alternative to ngrok. It replaces multiple tools for developers, including a reverse proxy, OAuth2/OIDC proxy, and more. It also offers a client API for full automation and a web dashboard for both developers and casual users.

We've been busy in 2025! Over the past year we’ve added a client‑side dashboard UI, expanded the API for full tunnel control, upgraded the user portal, introduced authentication tokens, doubled reserved subdomains, and more—all available to every subscriber.
These upgrades are especially useful for teams and organizations. We’re happy to offer a Black Friday discount so you can start enjoying them today.
We've integrated @Docker Scout into our pipelines and have an A rating. This means zero critical, medium or low-level vulnerabilities in our client and server binaries and container images 🙌
Build with confidence folks!
All subscriptions now have 2x the custom subdomains you can reserve.
We've also introduced Authentication Tokens, available to Pro subscribers and higher.

In an effort to prevent abuse of our service we blocked entire networks, VPNs, etc. from creating accounts on Packetriot.
This was effective but it ignores that there are many legimate use of VPNs, public or private ones, for accessing the Internet.
In order to strike a balance we've added a new safety portal for all websites hosted on our free-tier. It shares some simple advice to be cautious of visiting the link, particularly if you don't know the source. Below is an example of the page.
Subscribers and their traffic is not affected by this change. Any website not hosted with Packetriot domains are also not impacted.
We hope this strikes a reasonable balance between making our service more available to those who want to use it and helping to keep the Internet safe.
Happy hosting!
Spokes v1.5.3 introduces support for custom port allocation. This feature enables the client CLI and admin dashboard to request specific TCP ports to be allocated and assigned to a tunnel.
This supports many use-cases and we're excited to finally introduce it.
We've added a new page on the admin dashboard focused on port management. You can now view all the ports allocated on the Spokes instance, the tunnel it's been assigned to, created date and more. Ports can be released from this new page as well.
Several bug fixes and improvements for Spokes cluster replication are available in this update as well. We are also building a new application to manage clusters code-named Sentinel.
More details and screenshots of the changes are available on our post about this release:

The Packetriot client v0.15.6 is now available and provides improvements to stability and bug fixes, plus support for requesting custom TCP ports.
This new feature will not become generally available to Packetriot users but is for our customers that license our network server.
