Many Irish chose emigration. Others chose to join Britain’s imperial and genocidal activities - for their economic benefit.

“2020 damage had already been done by McLeish” - Clarke took over after one win and one defeat. Led us to 4 more defeats in the group, including two 4-0 drubbings.

The only time 2nd was guaranteed qualification was in a 7 team group. Much harder to finish second in a 7 team group versus a 4 team group.

In 2020 we finished 3rd (would have been out).

In 2024 we weren’t the best 2nd-placed team (would have been in a playoff).
