"I am saddened and heartbroken at the news of the passing of one of the sweetest, strongest little girls I’ve ever met.

"Back in 2024 in Seattle I met Scarlett Guillen for the first time at a children’s hospital, and since then have seen her a handful of times along my travels.

"In hindsight, I wish I had given her more of my time. I’m devastated for the family as I can’t imagine what they’re going through. But they raised an amazing little fighter with a gigantic heart in Scarlett.

"I will miss her smile, her energy, her fighting spirit, the little giggle from our first meeting that still tickles me every time I hear it in the video.

"It’s tough at a time like this to celebrate anything, but today, I celebrate Scarlett. Her life. Her spirit. Rest in peace, sweet girl."
