Shoppers will switch for a better deal. They come back for a better reason.

My grocery loyalty extends roughly to whichever store is closest and has a working self-checkout.

Turns out that's a whole market segment.

Fast product discovery. Savings that show up on their own. A decent substitute when the oat milk is out. Pricing and availability that's actually accurate.

Unglamorous. Also the whole game.

This is the kind of integration developers love: fewer tabs, less setup, more building. Great to see Algolia now available directly inside v0, making it even easier to go from idea to working search in a few clicks.

[Vercel Developers @vercel_dev]

Algolia is now on Vercel Marketplace.

Add search to your app without building the backend. Algolia indexes your catalog, docs, or site and returns fast, ranked results.

44% of grocery shoppers don't have a go-to store. They're not loyal, they're browsing.

Nearly half say they'd shop more with grocers that use AI well. But AI won't save you if "birthday cake" returns birthday candles. It'll just be wrong faster.

Every company has one: the legacy search engine nobody will touch. DocMorris finally touched theirs. Moved to Algolia. Conversions from search: +112%.... turns out the scary box wasn't load-bearing.

Nobody wants half-baked search; least of all a baker at 4am hunting for fondant. 🍩
Dawn Foods went from zero ecommerce to AI-ready in under 3 years with Algolia:
– 1M → ~20M searches
– 30% faster time to order
– Sales doubled YoY

Nothing focuses a leadership team like an AI bill with more digits than anyone budgeted for.

62% of orgs hit surprise AI costs. One in four of them killed the project — not because the AI failed, but because nobody could explain the invoice.

Not an argument for going slower. An argument for looking one step downstream before you turn the dial up.

We gave our developers AI coding tools and productivity went up immediately. Code output roughly doubled.

Then the pull request queue turned into a landfill.

Speeding up one step doesn't speed up the system. It changes which step everyone complains about.

If AI makes one stage 10x faster, the useful question is what breaks next. Usually human review. Sometimes data quality, security sign-off, or infrastructure that was already wheezing.

Every company has one: the legacy search engine nobody will touch.

Configured in 2016 by a contractor who has since moved to another country. There's a Confluence page about it that ends mid-sentence.

DocMorris, one of Europe's leading online pharmacies, decided to stop nodding.

They replaced legacy search with Algolia's AI-powered search. Conversions from search: +112%.

Turns out the scary box was not load-bearing.
