@even_steven8tht The constant fan noise will make you deaf and get tinnitus! Itโs a result of living in cheaply designed buildings if you need AC. There are other ways that buildings can naturally keep cool in summer and warm in winter.
@ZeteticAdvocate Itโs 90ยฐ outside and you think pumping heat from your property and making it 95ยฐ outside your neighbourโs property is fine. Itโs self defeating technology that only works if a very few have it in low density environments where the heat produced can dissipate!
@patrickc It doesnโt work. Air-conditioning pumps heat out of buildings into the surrounding environment making the heat island effect in densely built urban areas far worse than it would otherwise be. The more you have the worse the problem becomes!

@BullBoss5 If you installed A/C in many densely packed European cities youโd make indoors cooler, but outdoor temperatures would be exacerbated enormously, amplifying the heat island effect, far worsening the bearability. A/C works best in low density areas.

@Smacker62 @MattCrivelli Oh look! Heat pump in the northern UK. Used mainly for heating, but will cool too! Installed 25 years ago, been used to cool on one day in all that time. Thick stone walls and good insulation also keep houses cool in summer!
@AdamJSchwarz In August 2020 a giant thunder cell rained all night slowly travelling north. It breeched the Union Canal at Polmont washing away the main Edinburgh to Glasgow railway and further north flooding debris caused the Stonehaven rail crash!
