H1B program is a scam

Not because it has millions of foreign workers stealing American jobs

It is a scam because it has become one of the most desirable political punching bags in America

H1B workers make up a tiny fraction of the labor force, yet somehow they are blamed for everything from stagnant wages to the housing market

Are there bad employers? Absolutely. Crack down on them. Ban the bodyshops.

Are there reforms needed?
Of course. Raise the bar, punish abuse, reduce employer dependency, and modernize the system.

But pretending a program that touches such a small share of the workforce is the root cause of all the economic challenges is just clearly political theater, not a serious argument

Every election cycle, the same script plays out: find and amplify the exceptions, ignore the data, and rile up the base
