Diogo Jota's wife, Rute Cardoso, has written a letter to Scotland captain Andy Robertson ahead of the World Cup.
She thanks Robertson for his friendship, and for preserving Diogo's memory. Robertson adds he'll have Jota at the forefront of his mind.🙏
Exclusive: Andoni Iraola is scheduled to travel to Merseyside tomorrow morning to put the finishing touches to his move to Liverpool, including putting pen to paper on a two-year deal.
On a serious note, will forever be grateful for what Arne achieved in his first season, giving me one of the greatest days of my life, and how he handled such a terrible situation last summer with grace, dignity and class
But it was clear to see that a lot of bridges were burned with players and fans, and it’s hard to claw that back. The season was a failure, clear and simple, and coming off of the backdrop of the record expenditure it didn’t paint a good picture
The fact of the matter is unfortunately it was 18 straight months of regression in the quality of football, the style of play and the results, and that just makes his position untenable, in combination with all the dressing room drama that has gone on, this was simply the best solution for all parties
@RoyCalley Yeah mate I’m a Liverpool fan as well so thought Nice might give me a bit of respite from the terrible season we’ve had, but I was badly wrong. At least it’s been an entertaining mess I suppose
@RoyCalley Absolutely and hopefully the shirts will be allowed 😂. As much as I hope they stay up you almost can’t help but feel it’s deserved to go down given the shit show of a season
@kevinhatchard@sidlowe But apparently they should bring back teams dropping down from UCL to EL and EL to ECL, just so we can see the same teams winning year after year. Think the format changes have been worth it for these types of stories alone
@joe23071861@lfcwirepod@OneSGW Read or listen to his post match today. Says that he has made mistakes and is far from perfect. That constitutes acceptable in my opinion anyway.
