Texas Tech coach Joey McGuire says he heard from Brendan Sorsby’s parents Monday night, the day he was granted a temporary injunction that makes him eligible in 2026.
“As excited as he was … his mom and dad called and all they wanted to talk about, ‘Is Texas Tech going to be OK?’”
The Texas Attorney General sent a formal letter to the Big 12 today alerting the conference that Texas Tech would take action against any league sanction.
@RichEisenShow Texas Tech didn’t do anything except declare Sorsby ineligible. Then NCAA declared Sorsby ineligible. Then SORSBY sued NCAA. Sorsby won the injunction, NCAA lost… at least for now. That’s it, full stop.
NEWS: A judge in district court in Lubbock County, Texas, has granted the injunction requested by Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby. He’s set to be eligible for the 2026 season.
Joey McGuire on Steve Sarkisian’s comments alluding to Texas Tech’s schedule.
Coach McGuire has talked to Texas State & Abilene Christian & would love to buy out those games to play Texas this season in Week 1. If not Lubbock, then @ATTStadium
“We would love to play Texas.”
