@PropFreeLFC@LukaBalonDeOro@sportbible 86 - 91 as a world class talent?
Gonna have to disagree with you there. 2 world record transfers before that. Obvs hard to back this up with evidence but he was voted the 4th best player in the world by the British World Soccer Magazine in 83.
@FootballPatient@sportbible Facts?
I'll assume you meant stats as you were quoting me.
My opinion is stats dont capture a players greatness in football the same way they do in say the NFL. If you look at say Zindane or Maradona, statistically they're unimpressive. This can be said for Bergkamp.
@PropFreeLFC@LukaBalonDeOro@sportbible His time as the worlds best player was twice as long as Ronaldinhos. And his time as a world class talent was probably 81 when he joined Bocas to 91 when he left Napoli. Probably the start of that season actually.
@PropFreeLFC@LukaBalonDeOro@sportbible Maradona peak was 1980 - 91/2
But then coke got the better of him
And he was by far the best player ever at the time if his retirement.
@Zina_ZOL@TheEconomist These polls were done in neighbouring countries. Would like to see what the responses are like in more wealthy western European countries
@Zina_ZOL@TheEconomist Yeah majority means over 50%. What about the rest? They're welcome to stay. Theres no future in Ukraine for a young person.
Can you link a poll?
@RockyMountViews @NBCNews Avenatti was a hero to many liberals reals for the same reason.
Enemy of my enemy is not your friend
Anyway the real problem is hes a hero to many kids. Many of whom are still forming their view of the world
