Out of ideas, I asked Claude how I could find it. It suggested tracking the Bluetooth signal strength, then wrote me a meter in about a minute.

I walked around watching the number climb. Found it.

Haaretz Exposé: How Netanyahu concealed the disagreements within Israel's military leadership from President Trump | This week, we published an investigation - the deepest dive yet into Israel's plan to topple the Iranian regime and install Ahmadinejad as its new leader.

On February 11, 2026, Netanyahu arrived at a decisive meeting at the White House, where he presented President Trump with the full plan for regime change in Iran. Netanyahu was confident the plan would succeed, and that's what he told Trump. In Washington, it was met with deep skepticism.

But Netanyahu concealed from Trump and his senior officials that Israel had serious doubts of its own. The top ranks of Israeli Military Intelligence - which produces the country's national intelligence assessment - concluded that the plan Netanyahu was pitching to the Americans stood little chance of success. The head of Military Intelligence put that assessment in writing. Israel's former national security adviser dismissed the plans as "science fiction" and stopped attending the preparatory meetings altogether.

None of this reached Trump. Instead, Netanyahu presented the White House with a picture of Israeli consensus and high chances of success — the opposite of what Israel's own experts had concluded.
