As we come to the end of #babycommunicationweek we would like to thank the parents who shared lovely photos of their reading and play time with us during the week. Thank you to @dubcilib for donating books to our neonatal unit and our catering team for the delicious cupcakes.
It's Baby Communication Week! This year’s theme is ‘Understanding Babies. Affirming Parents. Nurturing Relationships.’ Over the course of the week, we will share resources you may find useful.
Sharing books with babies right from the start will help them to listen carefully and then begin to talk.
These early experiences will help them to become confident readers and writers as they grow older.
Music and singing are excellent ways of establishing communication and interacting with baby. As babies grow, they use music to communicate, participate and engage with parents and caregivers.

A union of 3 hospitals with rich traditions, Tallaght University Hospital is 25 years old today. A hub of innovation, it operates ‘without walls’ in the heart of the community and is the proud custodian of a great legacy. Comhgairdeas le @lulunugent agus an fhoireann uilig.
Well done to Cian from @tudublincompsci who received the Best Student Project award from @ProgrammeSpark at #SparkSummit23 for a wonderful collaborative project with our pathology lab
We are nearly finished up at Sir John Rogerson's Quay
We have been asked to top the level of the River Liffey up so a Cruise ship can go alongside the quay this afternoon
It took approx 900,000 litres, 4 Water Tenders, 1 Turntable ladder and nearly 9 hours
Huge thanks to @ProgrammeSpark for supporting our innovation challenge. A wonderful afternoon highlighting innovative staff throughout the hospital #TUHWorkingTogether
