WATCH: MAGA voters are already weighing in on who they want to lead the Republican Party in 2028, and two names keep coming up: JD Vance and Marco Rubio.

Some voters say Rubio brings more experience, while others see Vance as the natural choice to continue Trump's political legacy.

That's what residents in Cranbury, New Jersey, are saying after Democrat Mayor Lisa Knierim announced a $26 million fraudulent financial transfer more than five weeks after it occurred.
The staggering announcement came November 6, just three days after local elections in which Democrats preserved control of all five seats on the township's committee. The money was intended for the township's affordable housing obligations.
Investigators have frozen nearly $17.3 million, but roughly $8.7 million remains outside the reported freeze. Officials have yet to explain why the theft wasn't publicly disclosed sooner.
A Washington ranching family is fighting a $267,540 fine from the state Department of Ecology over cattle ponds the state claims are regulated wetlands. Wade and Teresa King say the ponds on their multigenerational ranch in Grant and Douglas counties are not wetlands, and the fine poses an "existential threat" to their operation.
The Kings are now battling for something that could reshape the legal landscape far beyond their property: the right to a jury trial. The state directed them to challenge the fine before an administrative panel with no jury. They filed a lawsuit arguing that process violates their constitutional rights, and after a judge dismissed it, an appeals court paused the administrative proceedings while it considers the question.
Their attorneys at Pacific Legal Foundation say they are prepared to take the case all the way to the Supreme Court, arguing the Seventh Amendment right to a jury trial applies against the states.

Donalds hopes the moment marks a broader shift away from racial division in American politics.

From New York City to Los Angeles, socialist mayors are gaining control of some of America's biggest city halls.
Tuesday's elections added two more major cities to the list, with Nithya Raman unseating Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Janeese Lewis George winning in the nation's capital.
That brings the total to four of the country’s 20 most populous cities with socialist leaders at the helm. Together, those cities are home to roughly 14 million people. Decisions on housing, policing and local economic policy could have implications for millions more across surrounding communities.
The victories also coincide with a broader shift in congressional representation. See which candidates are heading to Washington:

California district attorneys are ripping Gov. Gavin Newsom after he commuted the sentences of all 548 death row inmates in the state, a sweeping act of clemency that prosecutors say was done without consulting or notifying victims' families.
San Luis Obispo County DA Dan Dow says he was "sickened" by the decision, calling it a slap in the face to crime victims. LA County DA Nathan Hochman fires back that California voters have twice rejected abolishing the death penalty at the ballot box, and his office will keep pursuing capital cases "until the law is changed."
Among those spared: men convicted of torturing and killing a 1-year-old girl and brutally slaying two female college students.
