The total number of Research scholars in India is of order ~10^4. By hiking in the order of ~ 10^4 (Rs) per scholar per month, the govt. will pay max of the order of ~10^9 (Rs 100 Cr) per YEAR only!!! It is peanuts compared to the returns.#HikeFellowship #hikeresearchfellowship
