The average American does 4 months of free labor a year:
-federal income tax
-state income tax
-Social Security
-capital gains
-sales tax
-excise tax
-luxury Tax
-utility tax
-real estate tax
-property
-estate
-inheritance tax
Is this what the founding fathers had in mind?
A guest on @EveningEdit blamed the high inflation that we experienced before Trump on Biden's big spending. He then thanked God for Trump's policies, which he claimed eliminated inflation. But even without the war, federal spending is higher under Trump than it was under Biden.

What they’re describing isn’t “free market capitalism.” It’s the exact opposite. When CEOs brag that they can call the president or someone in the White House to get things done, that’s not the market working, that’s political favoritism and crony capitalism. In a real free market, businesses succeed by competing for customers, not by lobbying politicians or getting special access to the government. The fact that CEOs think the White House being “open for business” is a positive just shows how dependent corporate America has become on government influence. That’s not capitalism. That’s a government-managed economy.
Will Gov. Pritzker forgo federal funds in the form of 100% tax credits that would give Illinois’ families hundreds of millions of dollars to help educate their children, whether they attend public or private schools, or will he cave to teachers unions that oppose any assistance to private school families?
The program (effective 2027) benefits K-12 students from households with income up to 300% of the area median income covering not only private school tuition but also both public and private schools tutoring, transportation, special education supports, early childhood.
By lobbying against the Educational Choice for Children Act, teacher unions would deprive even public-school families of hundreds of millions in support for their children.
This is nothing short of an effort to deny middle- and lower-income families any support to educate their children in parochial and other private schools.
Part of a pattern by Illinois teacher unions. In 2023, under intense pressure, Illinois lawmakers allowed the “Invest in Kids” tax-credit scholarship program to expire, making Illinois the only state to roll back a private school choice program for low-income families and depriving 9,700 low-income households’ tuition support.
The Chicago Teachers Union just announced the candidates they are backing for Springfield.
After “40 hours of interviews,” CTU leadership says these candidates will fight for $5 BILLION more for their agenda and stop school choice for parents.
Let’s be clear: when the Chicago Teachers Union picks your candidates, the voters are no longer in charge — the union is.
Chicago Flips Red opposes every single candidate on this list:
Statewide
•Karina Villa — Illinois Comptroller
Illinois State Senate
•Graciela Guzman — District 20
•Celina Villanueva — District 12
•Rachel Ruttenberg — District 9
•Ram Villivalam — District 8
•Omar Aquino — District 2
Illinois House of Representatives
•Jared Ploger — District 84
•Miguel Alvelo-Rivera — District 40
•Will Guzzardi — District 39
•Aja Kearney — District 34
•Karim Lakhani — District 12
•Sonya Harper — District 6
•Lilian Jimenez — District 4
•Aaron Ortiz — District 1
•Shantel Franklin — District 8
•Theresa Mah — District 24
•Lisa Davis — District 32
•Justin Slaughter — District 27
•Michael Crawford — District 31
•Edgar Gonzalez — District 23
Why?
Because CTU has already proven what happens when they control government:
•Failing schools
•Declining enrollment
•Billions in debt
•Ideology over education
•Parents with fewer choices
Now they want to take that same agenda to Springfield.
This isn’t about students.
This isn’t about parents.
This is about power.
When a union can handpick candidates across the entire state legislature, that is not democracy — that is machine politics.
Illinois families deserve leaders who answer to their constituents, not union bosses.
Chicago Flips Red will continue to expose and oppose this agenda.
Our children are not political pawns.
DON’T vote for any CTU candidate.
And if you believe that the Chicago Teachers Union is under federal trusteeship…

Says the man who’s taking, stealing from the very poor people he claims he’s fighting for.
This man Mayor Brandon Johnson is capitalizing off our tax dollars , taking his salary and set to receive a $5 million pension from being mayor and from the school board.
Why doesn’t he give that money away so he can live like everybody else? If he really believes what he’s preaching, then he should put himself on the same economic level as the people he claims to fight for.
Instead, he’s using government to take from American citizens while benefiting from the very system he criticizes. Let’s be clear about that.
If he truly believes in what he’s saying, why not give away his salary and all the money he’s making to the poor so we can all be “equal” economically?
This people are hypocrites, and they swear we're STUPID.

The Chicago Police Department's no chase policy is designed to protect residents - but it's made the city more vulnerable to lawsuits. Over at @acitythatworks Justin Erb explains why, and how to reduce crashes while also protecting the city.
