.@UFHealth pediatric oncologist @JohnLigon has launched a new clinical trial to test a novel @UF-developed mRNA lipid nanoparticle (RNA-LP) in children with recurrent high-grade glioma and recurrent osteosarcoma: https://t.co/a7WaI6K8A1
The pediatric heme/onc team at the University of Florida is expanding our faculty! If you or someone you know is looking for a faculty position with a clinical focus in leukemia/lymphoma, please apply: https://t.co/iDR94CmIpb . Contact [email protected] for more info.
Please apply to join @EngineerDadMD 's brand new lab at @UFHealthCancer ! An opportunity to do some truly novel groundbreaking work with a budding physician-scientist!
Two first-ever human clinical trials testing new experimental therapies for a subtype of medulloblastoma are supported by clinical research infrastructure provided by the UF Health Cancer Center.
Researchers in the Dept @UFNeurosurgery led by UF neurosurgery faculty Dr. Elias Sayour published their findings with a new mRNA cancer vaccine they created to attack glioblastoma in a first-in-human clinical trial in the journal @CellCellPress today https://t.co/XFFoljk1lu
Please also read a companion piece by @CVonRoe and myself explaining this discovery in more approachable terms, also published today in @ConversationUS https://t.co/HSziyxN8Wm
A big, BIG day for @UFHealthCancer and @Rosen_NeuroOnc as the first publication of our multilamellar mRNA nanoparticles is officially in print @CellCellPress . Amazing work by @castillopa5 , Hector Mendez-Gomez, Anna DeVries, Elias Sayour and a huge team! https://t.co/ITn8LSBpk2
Multilamellar RNA nanoparticle aggregates orchestrate innate and adaptive immunity to reject early and late stage murine tumors. In client-owned dogs, RNA-LPAs improved survival and reprogrammed TME. In a first-in-human trial, RNA-LPAs elicited rapid cytokine/chemokine release, immune activation/trafficking, and glioma-specific immune responses. Years of amazing teamwork now out in Cell. Thank you so much to our team members! @UFHealthCancer@ogandorivas@JohnLigon@Rosen_NeuroOnc@UFHealth@UFMBI https://t.co/RUmrvijUoR
Very excited to share this story about the work we are doing with support from @PCRF_Kids to develop combination immunotherapy for children with cancer! https://t.co/p5Qds8c4ki
Have really enjoyed seeing members of my lab presenting impactful work over the last few weeks at @UFMedicine and @UFHealthCancer research days! Congratulations @jobingabe , Miriam Girgis, and Cathleen Rabideau!
Congrats to UF Health Cancer Center researchers Lakeshia Cousin, Ph.D., APRN, AGPCNP-BC & Paul Castillo, M.D., who were accepted into the @NCICRCHD Early Investigator Advancement Program, which assists researchers in attaining R-type funding!

Amazing work by Gabe Jobin presented today @UFHealthCancer research day on our work generating 3D tumoroids to find new treatments for #pediatriccancer !!!
I almost never use this for personal reasons… but I’m bringing my 6yo and 4yo to their first @spurs game on 2/8 in Orlando. I know @wemby generally isn’t doing back-to-backs, but please PLEASE skip the Heat game on 2/7 so my kids can see you play!!! 🙏🏻
Congratulations to Maryam Rahman, M.D., a member of the UF Health Cancer Center who has served as principal investigator for multiple brain tumor clinical trials!
Good morning from beautiful Vancouver @SNO2023! Come stop by booth 111 to learn more about our wonderful program at UFHealth, and learn about our clinical trials! #UFBTIP
The Pediatric Cancer Immunotherapy Initiative (PCI2) at @UFHealthCancer and @Rosen_NeuroOnc is hiring a highly motivated lab manager: https://t.co/ZqXBRFCB0q . Come work with @castillopa5 , Elias Sayour, and me as we work to help kids fight #Cancer !

Proud of our student Cathleen Rabideau who presented @UFexplore Undergrad Symposium! This work, spearheaded by @EngineerDadMD and Sadeem Qdaisat in @Rosen_NeuroOnc@UFHealthCancer is crucial for future proof of principle experiments using RNA vaccines for fusion driven sarcomas
Thank you to @Stop_CC for supporting pediatric #cancer research at @UFHealth! Today officials from Stop Children's Cancer presented a renewed gift of $1 million to support cancer research & clinical trials in the @ufmedicine division of hematology & oncology for the next 5 years!
So very proud of my outstandingly talented colleague @jobingabe and the work he has done on establishing novel models of pediatric sarcomas! Outstanding presentation at @UFGenetics symposium! Another example of the innovative work we are doing @UFHealthCancer !
