490 years ago today, William Tyndale was murdered by the Roman Catholic church. What was his crime? Translating the Bible into English.

Right before Tyndale died, he cried out,

“Lord, open the king of England’s eyes!”

The Lord indeed open the king of Englands eyes and a few years after his death the Bible was being printed in English with no threats of persecution.
