@CureCommunity @bsimerch @thecure Yup. Ordered 26th of November, still got nothing. Supposedly the order was finally sent out 16th of February but I don’t believe I can track or verify that. How hard is it to get me 2 posters and 2 t-shirts? Hella disappointed!

[John Machielsen @johnmachielsen]

@CraigatCoF I'd like it even more if this and Paris both would get a blu-ray remastered treatment.

[John Machielsen @johnmachielsen]

@tansleyjames Will definitely check them out knowing the quality these playlists tend to accumulate

[John Machielsen @johnmachielsen]

@tansleyjames Also a suggestion for after Talk Talk if I may? What about Level 42?

[John Machielsen @johnmachielsen]

@tansleyjames Yes!
I'll tag along for the Simple Minds and Talk Talk. Somehow I never 'got' Roxy Music, and Kate Bush well, I dunno. I like a few of her singles (but abhor Babooshka) but never got into her albums.

[John Machielsen @johnmachielsen]

@tansleyjames Nice! Totally missed the final two days there b/c I got too busy but I had a blast. Looking forward to listening to these 😎

#TheSmithsAnthology 9 - Sound of the Smiths (2008)

1. Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now
2. Oscillate Wildly
3. The Boy with the Thorn in His Side
4. Bigmouth Strikes Again

Some 45 songs on here allowing one to strategically get in stuff otherwise missed out on. Yay for Oscillate!

[John Machielsen @johnmachielsen]

@CraigatCoF Strategic voting for me as well, mainly to give #5/6 from QiD a place. At least this challenge did give ample opportunity to vote this way, otherwise we would have had to leave out lots of good songs.

[John Machielsen @johnmachielsen]

@tansleyjames Oh, that reminds me in a way about Boys Don't Cry not being on Three Imaginary Boys. That must have happened far more often back in those days given how releases were planned and albums/singles recorded.

[John Machielsen @johnmachielsen]

@tansleyjames You could have voted for TCM on the first day right? It is also on The Smiths (1984). I voted for it then but hopefully not in error.

#TheSmithsAnthology 8 - "Rank" (1988) [Live]

1. I Know It's Over (extended)
2. The Draize Train (didn't know this one before this challenge, awesome jam!)

After listening to the Smiths live some more I'm gutted there seems to be no (official?) dvd or blu-ray of any concert.

[John Machielsen @johnmachielsen]

@tansleyjames This is indeed a good album. Funny thing is, I don't think I've actually listened to it before this challenge. Somehow all I did from Louder Than Bombs when I got that in the early 90s is go back into the oeuvre. Always wondered where 'Girlfriend' came from. Now I know.

[John Machielsen @johnmachielsen]

#TheSmithsAnthology 6 - Strangeways, Here We Come (1987)

1. Girlfriend in a Coma
2. A Rush and a Push and the Land Is Ours
3. Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before
4. I Won't Share You

Honorable mention to: Last Night..., I also really like that one.

[John Machielsen @johnmachielsen]

@tansleyjames I dug it out (together with QiD and MiM) so I could relisten to the originals instead of streaming. I still love this one so much.

[John Machielsen @johnmachielsen]

#TheSmithsAnthology 6 - Louder Than Bombs (1987)

1. Panic
2. Half a Person
3. Sweet and Tender Hooligan (John Peel session, 12/2/86)
4. These Things Take Time

Yesterday I said compilations did my head in. But LTB was my first Smiths experience in the early 90s. Still love it.

[John Machielsen @johnmachielsen]

#TheSmithsAnthology 5 - The World Won't Listen (1987)

1. Ask
2. London
3. You Just Haven't Earned It Yet, Baby
4. There is a Light That Never Goes Out

Compilations keep cracking my head. Will I or will I not be able to get all tracks voted for. I almost made a spreadsheet.

[John Machielsen @johnmachielsen]

@tansleyjames Oh wow. Only double vinyl? Can't be the best of quality in pressing / sound then. No room to breathe on there.
