Stop trying to save people from the consequences of their actions. You enable their patterns. You take away the lesson they need to experience to grow and evolve. You train them to rely on you. You drain yourself by carrying their burden. You're not the "fixer" of their lives.
Stop choosing people who keep making it clear they wouldn’t choose you. You shouldn’t have to chase their time, beg for effort, or keep proving why you belong in their life. If they’re unsure about you, let them be unsure without you. Put that same energy into people who never make you question your place.
You must become selectively selfish. You cannot answer every request, preserve every friendship, attend every event, and remain emotionally available to everyone while building something rare. A life directed by purpose will disappoint people who benefited from your lack of direction.
I’ll never fully trust a person again the way I used to. Too many people smiled in my face, made promises they never planned on keeping, and switched up out of nowhere. After seeing the same pattern enough times, I quit giving everybody the benefit of the doubt. Now trust ain’t something you get just because we have history. It’s something you earn by staying the same when you don’t have to.
When you stop expecting fairness, the world starts making sense. Life is strategic. Stop asking why it’s hard; start asking how it works. Winners don’t seek to moral police; they learn the rules, master emotion, and play to win.
If you want to judge someone’s character, give them a small amount of authority over a person who cannot retaliate. It is a misconception that power and money corrupts an individual. In truth, it reveals their true moral values.
the older I get, the more I realize sex appeal has less to do with skin...and more to do with personality and the feeling someone leaves behind after a conversation.
you were not made to be shallow so people never have to learn how to swim, you were not made to dilute your depths so people can breathe easier around you, you were made to be felt fully or not at all.
Don't worry about those who enjoy bringing you down. Those who have nothing worth celebrating in their lives find faults in the way others live. Let them judge. Let them mock you. Let them resent your success. Ignore them and create a life you can smile at.
I think I finally reached the point where I don’t care anymore. I’m a good person, but I can’t force nobody to see my worth, appreciate what I bring, or value me the way they should. If somebody keeps overlooking me, I let them. I know what I bring to the table, and I’m done trying to convince people they should see it too.
I explain to her I had no option but to get in here to change my daughter and I'll be out in a few. She doesn't listen and she calls security on me claiming I'm invading her privacy. Security came, apologised to her but they let me finish changing my daughter. But now I'm wondering, is the privacy of a grown up woman more important than the health of a kid?
I will never tell anyone the full story about my family or the things that happen behind closed doors. Some wounds are too deep, too complicated, too raw to explain. Even if someone asks, even if they say they want to understand, they never truly could. It's mine to carry, and it always will be.
The older you get, the less you teach people how to treat you right, and the more you enforce the one-strike-you're-out rule, because you've got no time to school them, and most people already know what respect looks like and don't choose to offer it until there's a cost.
Start looking for a growth mate. A good relationship isn't about finding someone who completes you, but someone who refuses to let you stay the same. If they aren't challenging you, they're just a distraction. Be with someone who pushes you forward when you're too scared to move.
The reason I simply disappear is because how the fuck am I supposed to explain that I just know? That I felt the room? That my intuition is absolutely screaming at me?
one thing I’ve learned about all kinda relationships is that the same red flags you ignore in the beginning always end up being the reason yall fall out in the end
allow what is removing itself from you to gently exit, without chasing it down the road, without offering discounts on your worth to make it stay. what is meant for you will never need convincing and what is aligned with you will never make you audition for a place you already deserved.
