A Czech citizen, Jakub Jahl, presented himself to the world as a humanitarian volunteering in Tanzania. But when investigative journalist Marketa decided to investigate the allegations against him, she discovered something profoundly different. In this episode, she joins us to share what she found, and what happened when she decided to give the children themselves a voice. What they described, patterns of grooming, drug use, sexual abuse, and exploitation, is documented on camera, in their own words. When the story of child abuse gained traction, some critics shifted the narrative entirely, claiming that the exposure of Jakub Jahl’s alleged crimes in Africa was orchestrated and that it was initiated not by concerned citizens or victims, but by ALLATRA — an international nonprofit organization Marketa is affiliated with. But long before ALLATRA amplified this story, other voices had already raised concerns about Jakub Jahl's activity, just with far less reach. The real issue was never who was talking about it. It was that for years, almost no one was listening to the children. August 9, 2026 | Natural Disaster Summary

China - Typhoon Dolphin made two landfalls in Zhejiang Province, first near Yuhuan in Taizhou and later near Yueqing in the Wenzhou metropolitan area. Maximum sustained winds reached approximately 151 km/h during the first landfall and 137 km/h during the second. Extreme rainfall accompanied the typhoon, with Yuhuan recording 322.8 mm in 24 hours, while totals exceeded 600 mm in some areas. Shanghai also recorded local daily rainfall exceeding 200 mm.

Thailand - Torrential rainfall caused severe flooding in northeastern and northern Thailand. Nakhon Phanom recorded 107.9 mm of rain, inundating streets, homes, and businesses in what provincial authorities described as the worst flooding in nearly 30 years. The Mekong River rose to approximately 10.78 meters. In Mae Hong Son Province, flooding and landslides eroded riverbanks, threatened homes, inundated agricultural land, and damaged the Su Thong Pae Bridge.

Orenburg Region | Russia - A powerful storm struck Buzuluk and surrounding areas, bringing rain, wind gusts reaching 25 m/s, and localized sandstorms. Dust sharply reduced visibility, while strong winds tore roofing and siding from buildings, toppled trees, damaged vehicles and power lines, and caused power outages. A fallen tree also damaged electrical lines in Buzuluk Forest, sparking a grass fire that firefighters quickly extinguished.

Samara Region | Russia - Severe thunderstorms, torrential rain, and squalls with gusts reaching 27 m/s struck Tolyatti and other areas. The storm damaged roofs on eight apartment buildings and 79 private homes, toppled trees and power lines, damaged vehicles, and left more than 4,300 homes without electricity. Strong winds also forced a vessel on the Volga River to make an unplanned course change.

Republic of Dagestan | Russia - Heavy rainfall triggered mudflows across mountainous districts, blocking and disrupting several major roads. Mud, rocks, and debris affected sections of the Khasavyurt-Tlokh and Gunib-Tsurib highways, while a bridge was damaged in the Karabudakhkent District. Storm-related damage also caused power outages in 77 settlements across 11 municipal districts.

Washington State | USA - Record-breaking heat, drought, and strong winds fueled explosive wildfire growth across the state. The Old Trails Fire near Spokane forced thousands to evacuate, prompted a statewide emergency declaration, and contributed to widespread power outages as multiple large fires continued to burn.

Chile - Flooding, landslides, and overflowing rivers continued to devastate central and southern Chile. Two people were killed, thousands were isolated or displaced, and more than 4,000 homes were damaged as emergency crews responded across multiple regions.

Lima | Peru - Prolonged rainfall caused widespread urban flooding in southern Lima, inundating neighborhoods, disrupting traffic, and limiting emergency vehicle access as authorities worked to pump floodwaters from affected areas.

Researchers from Ukraine's Main Astronomical Observatory have published a controversial, non-peer-reviewed study based on 2025 high-speed lunar observations, claiming they detected more than 20 unidentified objects moving near and across the Moon. The paper has sparked global debate, although its conclusions have not been independently verified.

According to the researchers, some of these objects:

🌑 Were almost perfectly camouflaged against the lunar surface.
📏 Could be up to approximately 40 km across (depending on assumed reflectivity).

🇮🇹 On July 13, 2026, representatives of ALLATRA Italy took part in the official presentation of the book Creative Communication for Socio-Humanitarian Development, held in the Valeria Solesin Hall at Palazzo Lombardia in Milan.
The event was organized in collaboration with the Regional Government of Lombardy (Regione Lombardia), under the patronage of the European Commission, and with the recognition of UNAR—the National Office Against Racial Discrimination under the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of Italy.

📖 The book's author, Biagio Maimone, Communications Director of the Fondazione Bambino Gesù del Cairo, presented his work on the role of creative communication in fostering social development, dialogue, and humanitarian cooperation.
The event brought together representatives of government institutions, the scientific community, international organizations, cultural and civic institutions, as well as experts in communication and sustainable development.

Featured speakers included Nabil Bougarech, representative of the ALLATRA Global Research Center.

During his presentation, Nabil Bougarech introduced the report Nanoplastics: A Systematic Risk Analysis for Human Health, Ecosystems, and the Environment, published by the ALLATRA Global Research Center.

The Italian city of Assisi has once again become a place where dialogue about peace comes to life.

📣On June 27, 2026, the National Assembly of the international association Assisi Pax International was held there, marking the 30th anniversary of its founding by Padre Gianmaria Polidoro.

The Assembly served as a forum for dialogue on peace, cooperation, and mutual respect, in the context of preparations for the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Francis of Assisi, further reinforcing the city's symbolic role as a center of peace.

➡️ Organized by Assisi Pax International, the event brought together members of the association, along with invited guests and speakers from religious and civic communities, united by the values of dialogue, peace, and international cooperation.

📶 As part of the program, Nabil Bougarech (ALLATRA Global Research Center) delivered a presentation highlighting the importance of international cooperation and the interconnectedness of humanity and nature, as reflected in the Franciscan tradition and Pope Francis's Laudato Si'. Environmental challenges, including microplastics and nanoplastics, were also discussed.
