@lalidoloca@YouTube With news of cruise ship leaving Hawaii Port earth due to Tsumsni warning, presumably they have a protocol for these emergencies to save the ship from damage and must leave crew behind to assist passengers who cannot make it back in time. An interesting topic for cruise news show
@AbroadInJapan Also worth warning people to stay away from river systems that exit into the sea as the tsunami can travel up these and flood further inland as was seen in 2011.
@PedroT70@emmacruises Taking Icon OTS as an example. 5600 guests paying $18pppn = $100,800 for 2350 crew. Which would be $43 top per day. Consider that gratuities do not go to every type of crew so the average tip is actually higher. That's 300 dollar bonus a week on top of your pay check. 🤯
@emmacruises If tips were included in the cruise price and you had to cancel the cruise after final payment then that is more money you'd lose out on despite not having stepped on board the ship. Paying onboard protects you that cost.
@emmacruises I paid 431pp for this cruise based on two sharing an inside cabin . We had such a nice time that we're already looking to book another voyage on Queen Anne however we've been unable to find another short break quite as cheap as this for 2025.
@emmacruises A true pleasure bumping into Emma, Max and Captain Hudson looking their best on Queen Anne gala night.
One of many wonderful memories made on board my first cunard cruise.
@emmacruises I can recommend the deck 1 inside cabins, ours was below the golden lion and it was whisper quiet thanks to impressive soundproofing on the Queen Anne cabins. The size of cabin & bathroom was decent & the deck 1 location is excellent for venues like theatre, pub and queens room.

@InfantryPilot@emmacruises Glaciers, yes. Whales, I don't recall any whale watching excursions from ports. Perhaps since the ports are located far inland along the fjords so Whale sightings are rare. But some ports are close to open sea so maybe local vendors will offer these activities.
When asked for my most anticipated game, I always spare a thought for whatever wondrous new experience @giantsparrow are crafting. Thursday will mark the 7th Anniversary of #EdithFinch and I wonder what stage of development the next project is at🤔
