Someone graciously checked me on this, and I want to make a correction— my definition of under-represented voices extends to white or white appearing under-represented authors, of which there are many. BiPoc would probably have been the better term to use here. My apologies!

As always, I want fiction (adult, YA, kidlit) from under-represented voices. That means non-white, queer, disabled and neurodiverse. And I want the story *you* want to tell. That's burning for *you*.

So, we watched the first ep of Wednesday, and while I think the cast is stellar, it feels odd to see the Addamses among other "weirdoes." I think they work better juxtaposed against normie suburbia.

@gerradbohl It depends on the genre. For fantasy, north of 100,000 words is okay. For contemporary realistic, I'd recommend south of 80,000, but it varies!

@RmiltonAmos I think of Richard K Morgan as sci-fi and fantasy, so definitely a yes there. I'm less a fit for straight contemporary fiction aimed at adults.
