“For there is nothing heavier than compassion. Not even one's own pain weighs so heavy as the pain one feels with someone"
Milan Kundera.

Come to think of it, denigrating the worth of a soldier’s service based on whether he deployed to a war zone is… kind of like denigrating the worth of a woman’s citizenship based on whether she happens to have children.
Trump's Project 2025 wants to do away with the National Weather Service. You all ever read 'Isaac's Storm' about the 1900 Galveston, TX Hurricane? The Cubans warned us a Category 4 was coming but the Weather Bureau at the time considered them 'too emotional' and downplayed the warnings. Very few evacuated Galveston and 6000-12000 people died, the descriptions are horrific. The events led to the creation of the National Weather Service because you know, you might want a warning when a Hurricane is coming. MAGA makes zero sense.
🧵 It's really stunning how many people who claimed Democrats should "reach out to rural people" really just meant "be Paul Ryan."
Tim Walz is everything these pundits pretended to want. What they actually wanted was a conservative Democratic party.
Can we just call a moratorium on Democratic infighting for like 98 days?
Winning is all that matters right now. We can go back to the enemy of the good stuff later. Promise.
Years from now people will still be wondering how a “doddering old man” governing as a centrist, in the most divisive political climate in our lifetimes, in a Congress teeming with buffoons, insurrectionists and foreign assets, somehow managed to turn our economy around, strengthen our global alliances, pass historic investments in infrastructure & combating climate change, expand affordable healthcare and wipe out billions in student loans…and then, when he had amassed a record to rival any great President before him, had the selflessness to step aside for the greater good, for the sake of uniting the party against the existential threat of our time.
Some people might not give you your due, Joe.
For those who know better, there is only one word to describe you.
Legend.
We are grateful for you…and we will not let you down this November.
