In the film “The Libertine," I portrayed the character of John Wilmot, the 2nd Earl of Rochester, a notorious and scandalous poet of the 17th century.
This role was a deep dive into the life of a man who was both celebrated and vilified for his libertine lifestyle and his unapologetically hedonistic pursuits.
The film explores Rochester's tumultuous relationship with the king, his passionate and destructive love affairs, and his struggle with his own demons and the societal norms of his time.
Playing Rochester was an exploration into the complexities of human nature, freedom of expression, and the consequences of living life without boundaries. It was a challenging role that demanded a lot of emotional depth and understanding of a very conflicted and fascinating historical figure. Go watch!!!
