@DKThomp The guests missed the point. There really is only one reason US medical costs are so high and that there is profit in insurance. Some things work best in capitalism and some in socialism. Medical care is in the latter along with a justice system managing infrastructure.

@marniehj @goddek Yep. The far right certainly is gaining steam & democracy might be in trouble. Hopefully,it's just the deaththrows of this way of thought. I hope we can keep them out of getting in power here. Some of our conservatives are just as scary. Clouding what truth is,is their weapon.

@marniehj @goddek I couldn't disagree more. Now,if we're talking about the current Republican Party in the states, I'd agree a bit. They are working against reason and good government...but the US still has good scientists and good people working in all the departments that are reality based.
