While in Berlin today, Minister Thomas Byrne met with the Embassy team who delivered Zeitgeist Irland 24 last year.

The reception was attended by 100s of film professionals, & was a chance to celebrate 🇮🇪 films premiered at #Berlinale2025: Christy & Tin City.

The Embassy was delighted to attend the world premiere of 🇮🇪 film Christy at the 75th #Berlinale🎥

The film, written by Alan O’Gorman & directed by Brendan Canty, stars Danny Power. It features members of Cork's Kabin Crew, who provided a pop-up performance on the night.

The 🇩🇪 premiere of the Irish language film Kneecap took place in Berlin last night along with a Q&A between director Rich Peppiatt &Ne Hoare.

Deputy Amb John Lynam and Head of Culture Candice Gordon attended.

Kneecap will have its theatrical release across 🇩🇪 from 23 January.
