We welcome the Impeachment Court’s twin rulings granting the House Prosecution’s motions to subpoena the tax records, AMLC reports, and bank records of VP Sara, her husband, and their businesses, subject to certain limitations.

Malaking tagumpay ito para sa katotohanan. Tagumpay ito ng taumbayan na karapatang makita at masuri rin ang mga ebidensya sa prosesong ito ng pananagutan. Nanaig po dito ang hangarin nating maisiwalat ang buong katotohanan, hindi ang confidentiality.

Nakita rin po natin dito ang paninindigan ng Senate Impeachment Court sa kanyang independence at pagtupad sa kanyang constitutional duty; hindi ito nagpatinag sa kabila ng mga sinasabing pagbabawal ng ilang batas sa pagkalap ng mga impormasyon. 

Saludo po tayo kay Rep. @ChelDiokno sa mahusay at malinaw na pagpapaliwanag sa paninindigan ng House Prosecution na hindi dapat hadlangan ang paglalabas ng napakahalagang ebidensya ukol sa totoong yaman ni VP Sara.  

Patunay din po ang desisyon na ito ng Impeachment Court: Hindi maituturing na fishing expedition ang paghahanap ng hustisya para sa sambayanan at ng pananagutan sa mga opisyal ng gobyerno, gaano man kataas ang katungkulan. 

This is a watershed moment in this impeachment case and a landmark decision by the Impeachment Court that future generations can benefit from and be proud of.

Ngayong araw, inaprubahan ng impeachment court ang ating hiling na ipa-subpoena ang mga bank records, tax records, at AMLC reports kaugnay ni VP Sara Duterte at ng kanyang asawa.

Mahalaga ito sa usapin ng unexplained wealth. Ayon sa Korte Suprema, kailangang ihambing ang yaman ng isang opisyal noong una siyang pumasok sa gobyerno laban sa lahat ng perang pumasok sa kanyang mga accounts sa nakalipas na mga taon. Dito malalaman kung tugma ba ang kanyang lehitimong kinikita sa aktwal na yaman niya.

Umaasa tayo sa tuluyang paglabas ng lahat ng ebidensya.
