A prosecutor apologized to Adnan Syed and the family of Hae Min Lee after announcing that her office would not retry Syed for Lee's 1999 killing.

A judge vacated Adnan Syed's murder conviction, opening the door for prosecutors to either drop the charges altogether or set up a new trial. Syed was convicted in 2000 of murdering his high school ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee. @AFieldCNN reports.
