Released German journalist Eva Maria Michelmann:

“Syria is not safe. Please do not believe that the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) government is democratic in any way. The practices of this regime are inhumane. I was subjected to torture during my detention.”

Eva Maria Michelmann, a volunteer reporter with the ETHA organization, who was detained by the current Syrian authorities for several months before being released on June 19, 2026, shared her testimony in a video message presented at a press conference in Germany, where she thanked everyone who contributed to supporting her.

Michelmann warned the European public, saying: “Please do not believe that the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) government is democratic in any way,” emphasizing that “the practices of this regime are inhumane.”

She also described the torture she said she endured during her detention and called for the immediate release of Turkish journalist Ahmed Bulad.

Michelmann further spoke about what she described as inhumane conditions in women’s prisons, stating that most of the female detainees were Alawites and that some women were being held with children who had not yet learned to walk. She said that torture and electric shocks were routinely used in women’s prisons and that many women were confined in windowless cells with no beds or bedding, containing only white ceramic floors.

بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی جیونی کے رہائشی اصغر علی کی جبری گمشدگی کے بعد ان کے خاندان کے خلاف جاری انتقامی کارروائیوں پر شدید تشویش کا اظہار کرتی ہے۔ ایک نوجوان کو جبری طور پر لاپتہ کرنا ہی کافی نہیں سمجھا گیا، بلکہ اس کے اہلِ خانہ کو بھی مسلسل ریاستی جبر کا نشانہ بنایا جا رہا ہے۔ گھروں پر بار بار چھاپے مارنا، اہلِ خانہ کو ہراساں کرنا، جبری دباؤ کے ذریعے بیانات دلوانا، اور بالآخر بھاری مشینری کے ذریعے گھروں کو مسمار کرنا بلوچ نسل کشی پالیسی کا تسلسل ہے جس کا مقصد بلوچ قوم کے ہر فرد کو سزا دینا اور بلوچ معاشرے کو اجتماعی اذیت اور کرب سے دوچار کرنا ہے۔

گزشتہ کئی ماہ سے بلوچستان میں ریاستی فورسز کی جانب سے گھروں کو جلانے، توڑنے، بھاری مشینری کے ذریعے مسمار کرنے اور لوٹ مار کے واقعات میں نمایاں اضافہ ہوا ہے۔ کراچی سے لے کر تمپ کوہاڑ تک، اور جیونی سے لے کر دشتِ مستونگ تک، بلوچوں کی جان و مال محفوظ نہیں رہی۔ افسوسناک امر یہ ہے کہ یہ تمام اقدامات ریاست کے اپنے آئین اور قوانین کی رو سے بھی غیر آئینی اور غیر قانونی ہیں۔ ریاست کے پاس ان اقدامات کے لیے نہ کوئی اخلاقی جواز موجود ہے اور نہ ہی کوئی قانونی بنیاد۔ اس کے برعکس، ایسے واقعات روزانہ کی بنیاد پر سیکیورٹی فورسز، بالخصوص ایف سی، کے ہاتھوں سرزد ہو رہے ہیں، جبکہ ملک کا کوئی ادارہ یا سیاسی جماعت ان جرائم کے خلاف مؤثر آواز اٹھانے کی جرأت نہیں کر رہی۔

جبری گمشدگی کے شکار اصغر علی، رضوان رشید، علی اصغر ، غلام نبی جعفر ، یار جان ، محمد جان، غنی جعفر اور دیگر بلوچوں کے گھروں کو مسمار کرنا ریاستی بربریت کی ایک سنگین مثال ہے۔ بلوچ یکجہتی کمیٹی عالمی انسانی حقوق کے اداروں کو متوجہ کرتی ہے کہ جب تک ریاستِ پاکستان کو ان اقدامات پر جوابدہ نہیں ٹھہرایا جاتا، تب تک ریاست پاکستان بلوچ نسل کشی کو جاری رکھے گی۔
