Incredible fact.
If we could simply reduce Disability claimants to the number before lockdown we would save £24 billion a year.
Enough to fund a chunky part of social care.
Cuts to benefits are vital.
In a 48-minute address to camera while wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with ‘no place for poverty’, Stevenson delivers a stream of consciousness so self-absorbed that even Meghan Markle would consider it a bit much.
After around 40 minutes of grievance-laced rambling, he eventually gets to the point: he’s quitting YouTube, citing ‘burnout’. Who knew that life on the professional self-aggrandising circuit was so exhausting?

Unbelievably, 'Commonwealth citizens' living in Britain are eligible to vote in British elections.
The number of people who fall under this definition worldwide amounts to 2.7 BILLION PEOPLE – all of whom can vote in Britain so long as they are legal residents here.
The 850,000 Indian nationals who arrived as part of the Boriswave between 2021 and 2024, for example, were all able to vote as soon as they started living here.
This isn't just hypothetical.
Data from the Electoral Commission shows that 66% of Commonwealth citizens were registered to vote in 2022.
Labour also wants to ensure that Commonwealth foreign nationals who aren't registered are AUTOMATICALLY REGISTERED.
Why would a British political party seek to radically increase the number of foreigners who can vote in our elections?
We all know why.
Now, Andy Burnham is looking into compulsory voting, to make sure each and every one of his new supporters makes it to the polling booths.
Their schemes are plain for all to see.
Only British citizens should vote in British elections.
A Reform government will end this scam for good.
The alternative is unthinkable.
'TAX THE RICH' but wait all the 'rich' are leaving, so who is going to be left to pay the taxes?
YOU.

Every single person in the UK should be petrified about what is to come next.
This is very worth reading because it beautifully lays out the faulty thinking that has given us suicidal economic policy that has also made no impact on climate change whatsoever.
Characteristically, it pretends that those who oppose Net Zero do so because they deny that the climate is changing (no one sensible does), that outsourcing our emissions to poor countries, an accounting trick, is somehow green (it's not) and, most importantly, challenges the argument that the overwhelming majority of carbon emissions produced in the world today are emitted by countries that care about economic growth way more than they care about "saving the planet" (China, India etc) by citing Kenya whose entire annual emissions are roughly equivalent to what China emits in about 8 hours.
The hoax is not climate change. The hoax is that we can stop it by making ourselves poorer.
Imagine you ran a business and the top 1% of your customers generated 30% of your income.
And then you did everything to make them leave and never come back.
Even though they funded your business, you didn’t like them because they were successful.
So your business went bust.
Tens of thousands of teenagers get PIP for anxiety & ADHD.
They can get up to £800/month - whilst living under their parents' roof - and be better off than their classmates who manage to get a part-time job.
Important piece in @thetimes
Why would young people go out to work, often long shifts & inconvenient times, when they can do this 👇🏼… it’s nonsense & economics illiteracy not to make work pay
"Freedom is never guaranteed. It survives only when we have the courage to defend it." 🎯 The West sows the seeds of its own destruction when it tolerates intolerance.
The BBC has traded integrity/robust interrogation for access, behind-the-scenes, largely irrelevant storytelling. This should have been a live 30 minute interview with no fripperies, no cosy build up.
The truth. This book, written in Latin in 1695, describes the region called Palestine at that time.
Author Adriani Relandi was a geographer, cartographer, traveler, philologist.
He understood many languages, including Arabic, Ancient Greek and Hebrew.
He described nearly 2,500 settlements mentioned in the Bible, and made an approximate census according to settlements.
His notes;
1. Palestine is mostly empty, abandoned, sparsely populated. The main population is concentrated in Jerusalem, Akko, Tsfat, Jaffa, Tveria and Gaza.
2. The majority of the population is Jewish; almost everyone else is Christian. A very small part is Muslim, mostly Bedouin...
(Relandi refers to Muslims as nomadic Bedouins who come to cities only as seasonal workers in agriculture or construction.)
3. The only exception is Nablus, inhabited by about 120 members of the Muslim Natsha family and approximately 70 Samaritans.
4. About 5,000 people live in Jerusalem; almost all Jews, and a few Christians.
5. The names of most of the settlements are of Jewish origin, and some have Greek or Roman Latin names. Apart from the city of Ramla, there is no Arab settlement whose original name is Arabic.
Place names derived from Jewish, Greek or Latin are usually adapted into Arabic and meaningless...
6. Approximately 550 people live in Gaza, half of whom are Jews and half are Christians.
Jews were successful in agriculture, especially vineyards, olives and wheat, while Christians were engaged in trade and transportation..."

We saw this same phenomenon with the recent case of a man cleaning rubbish from a local river, whose good deed earned him an investigation by the Environment Agency for operating without a permit,
We saw it when volunteers scrubbing graffiti off Tube carriages were accused by TfL’s chief of vandalism.
As the state continues to fail it will increasingly see these Good Samaritans as a threat. For they expose the state’s own incompetence
😂 This Harry Hill’s TV Burp clip on “Muslim Driving School” is brilliant.
Harry mercilessly takes the mickey out of the entire premise and a few Muslim traditions while he’s at it.
First he zeros in on an 18-year-old, born and bred British girl who was married off in an arranged marriage to a man her parents chose in Pakistan.
Harry, completely deadpan:
“Hmm… the arranged marriage. How’s it going?”
Cut straight to the narrator:
“As an 18-year-old divorcee…”
😭 The audience loses it. Harry just pulls that classic awkward face and goes, “Sorry to hear that. Oh well… plenty more fish in the sea.”
Then later, with a different woman whose husband is “very confident” she’ll pass her test, Harry gets ready to crack open the champagne… only to be disappointed when she fails, but quickly adds:”
“It’s non-alcoholic… yeah, I’m sensitive.” 😂
Little polite jab at Muslims and alcohol. Nothing vicious, just lighthearted teasing.
This was mainstream television. ITV. Peak-time. And there was no outrage. People took it exactly as it was meant: good-natured, sharp British jesting.
That was just over a decade ago.
No way on earth you’d see a clip like this on mainstream TV today.
Times really have changed… and not for the better when it comes to being allowed to laugh at things.
Bring back TV Burp!
I am no fan of Refom but every time the @timespolitics@guardian mentions Geroge Cottrell the prefix it with “convicted criminal.”. They must prefix Louie Haigh then with “convicted fraudster.” Not to do so is to show disdain for professional journalism.
@RachelReevesMP Would be comedy gold if her choices hadn’t hit so many people and businesses so very hard and left us with unfathomable debt. I thought it was max level incompetence at first but then it became clear it was ideological.
Rachel, you boasted about being the first woman Chancellor and you have been appalling.
The sheer stupidity of your Budget caused thousands of businesses to close, hundreds of thousands of jobs to be lost.
The interest repayment on our debt rocketed because you were criminally useless and the markets knew you didn’t dare cut public services.
You have let down your sex and damaged Britain.
Having just read the (hastily deleted) Hope Not Hate page on Ann Widdecombe, which is itself a diatribe of hate and intolerance, I despair that members involved in that outfit should be anywhere near government.
Funny how on the new Left,
- ‘Hope Not Hate’ is in fact a purveyor of hate
- ‘Liberal’ really means illiberal, often frighteningly so
- the ‘anti-fascists’ are strikingly similar in outlook and methods to the actual fascists
- the ‘anti-racists’ turn out to be more obsessed with race and more racist than any generation since the 1930s, especially when it comes to Asians, Jews and whites
- ‘Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion’ really means no diversity at all, rather strict uniformity of ideas, and the forceful exclusion of dissenters
- ‘Safe spaces’ are very unsafe spaces for anyone expressing any kind of open inquiry or challenging idea
- ‘pro-science’ says men can have periods and women can have penises.
It’s exactly as Orwell said it.
The Left has truly lost its way.
