And the Legislature just committed $1.5 billion over ten years in cash grants to Hollywood productions filming in Texas.

$300 million every two years. Up to 31% cash back on qualifying productions. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson lobbied for it personally at the Capitol. Dan Patrick called it a priority.

Meanwhile, the average Texas homeowner is still waiting for meaningful property tax relief.

Hollywood got $1.5 billion.
