Rudyard Kipling articulated precisely what the problem with 'The Stranger' is for normal British people. @hilarybennmp would do well to take note:
The Stranger within my gate,
He may be true or kind,
But he does not talk my talk—
I cannot feel his mind.
I see the face and the eyes and the mouth,
But not the soul behind.
The men of my own stock
They may do ill or well,
But they tell the lies I am wonted to,
They are used to the lies I tell.
And we do not need interpreters
When we go to buy and sell.
The Stranger within my gates,
He may be evil or good,
But I cannot tell what powers control—
What reasons sway his mood;
Nor when the Gods of his far-off land
Shall repossess his blood.
The men of my own stock,
Bitter bad they may be,
But, at least, they hear the things I hear,
And see the things I see;
And whatever I think of them and their likes
They think of the likes of me.
This was my father's belief
And this is also mine:
Let the corn be all one sheaf—
And the grapes be all one vine,
Ere our children's teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.
The public saw a shocking act of violence.
Instead of addressing why it happened, politicians seem more concerned that people saw it.
That's exactly why trust in the political class is collapsing.
Here is ANDY BURNHAM speaking to the media and claiming that there’s been “good progress” with asylum seekers.
That good he now wants to open SAFE ROUTES for them.
This is the man that wants to be our Prime Minister.
WAKE UP, MAKERFIELD!!!
Starmer has made a conscious decision to underfund our military, leaving us defenceless, whilst spending billions of pounds on importing third world fighting age men.
At what point does this level of treachery become treason?
Well the pattern is now set:
Atrocity
Condemn in weakest terms possible
Calls for calm
Angry scenes
Family of victim used
Full force of the law
New laws limiting everyone's freedom
Ignore problem that caused atrocity
The worrying thing is that we only spend 1.3% of GDP on the Army, Navy, and RAF, which is why the three are in such bad shape. It’s all down to accounting trickery that started with the Tories in 2010 when they brought the nuclear deterrent upgrade under the defence budget, and again with vets’ pensions in 2016. As soon as Labour came to power in 2024, they did the same by bringing GCHQ, MI5, and MI6 under the defence budget, leaving only £35 billion to be spent on the three arms of our military. It’s a disgrace by both parties.
Perhaps the grimmest part of John Healey’s brutal resignation letter is that defence spending, projected to be 2.6% GDP by 2027, will only reach 2.68% in 2030. A pathetic 0.08% increase over three years after all that Starmer rhetoric about the dangerous times we live in and how UK would lead the way stepping up to the crease. A real leader would have told Reeves to cough up the dosh and ordered Miliband to hand over a big chunk of his net zero budget. But he’s probably too weak to do either.
BREAKING: Starmer hits back at John Healey.
"We can't fund free breakfast clubs and bullets, I chose middle class children's toast. I'm sorry John has joined the far right but he will be feeling the full force of the law"
They have form on this.
When Sir David Amess, the Southend MP , was murdered in 2021, MPs called for a clampdown on social media.
Sir David’s murder had nothing to do with tweets
He was stabbed to death by an Islamist.
Yet it was social media that was blamed.
So it's no surprise that MPs are declaring that this week’s rioting is being caused by social media and are trying to shut us up by shutting it down #1984
Your Anger is Racist! Labour’s Tone-Deaf Response to Northern Ireland Unrest 🤨
So this is Labour’s line: the disorder in Northern Ireland after a Sudanese asylum seeker allegedly tried to behead a man in the street? Just “racist riots”.
That’s what the government have decided. It’s all racism. Everything is kicking off again because these people are just racist thugs.
Nothing to do with watching someone butchered in the street by a migrant. Nothing to do with communities being ignored by the politicians who are supposed to represent them, while unvetted fighting-age foreign men are flooded into their areas. Nothing to do with crime after crime. Nothing to do with our daughters being targeted on a daily basis.
We never wanted mass immigration. We vote against it at every opportunity. But they force it through anyway and then act shocked when anger spills over after scenes like the near-beheading in Belfast.
It’s easy for Hilary Benn and the government to just call everyone racist instead of addressing the actual problem. But that only makes people angrier. They just don’t learn. They will never learn.
As we saw with the murder of Henry Nowak, too many in government and the institutions see everything through the prism of race while ignoring the root causes staring them in the face.
Time to face reality before this gets worse.
@afneil Cut welfare entitlement for non-British citizens? Deport foreign convicted criminals rather than pay for their life of luxury imprisonment? Cut pathetic DEI training from all government departments? Cut NHS entitlement to foreign citizens?
Tice gave Starmer both barrels in Parliament today. Starmer couldn't answer a single word of it.
Deaf. Blind. Numb. That is this Prime Minister. And Richard Tice said it to his face. The house didn't agree. The country absolutely does.
He stood there deaf and numb to everything the public are screaming. And every non answer he gave proved Tice right.
Boats. Two tier policing. Mandelson. Anti-semitism. Henry Nowak. Belfast. Tice put every single failure on the table. In Parliament. To his face.
Starmer's answer. Deflection. Donor smears. And the most revealing line of all. He called the campaign for justice for Henry Nowak exploitation. Not accountability. Not justice. Exploitation.
A man beaten to death outside his own home. A family destroyed. A community demanding answers. And the Prime Minister called it exploitation.
Then he talked about stopping the boats. But he cannot stop the boats Keir. Belfast proved that. A man flew from Sudan to Paris. Got a bus to Dublin. Walked into Belfast. Handed refugee status. Leave to remain until 2028. Never on a single database. That is your record.
Tice asked him to resign today. The house didn't agree. The country does.
Ed Miliband promised us Great British Energy would not use slave labour.
Now he can’t guarantee he’s kept his own promise.
There is no moral leadership in sending children to British primary schools powered by Chinese slaves.
@sharrond62 Let’s go further: MPs and their aides should use official accounts for social media and messaging, and everything they say must be archived and retrievable for a number of years. Using burner accounts or unaudited tools should be a criminal offence.
