JFay

Guttersnipe quill-driver and reluctant twitter experimenter. This account will self-destruct in 50 days.

[JFay @JohnPaddyFay]

The last tweet commemorates the first. Been there, done that, start writing the film on Monday... The End.

[JFay @JohnPaddyFay]

Stay risky, Colin...

[JFay @JohnPaddyFay]

Thanks to all, especially Colin, who survived a traumatic breach delivery to become assistant director of Berkshire Health & Safety Exec.

[JFay @JohnPaddyFay]

It's a true story of resistance, injustice and official cover-up, set in a Dominican slave plantation in 1814. Film/TV execs, get in touch!

[JFay @JohnPaddyFay]

Conclusion 2. Can 20 people marching change anything? It did. And I will keep trying to tell the story I've been trying to tell for 3 years.

[JFay @JohnPaddyFay]

Conclusion 1. Never again! I am unsuited to all this self-promoting, technology-dependent piss-puddle. (It's too shallow to be bullshit.)

[JFay @JohnPaddyFay]

At the site of real Peter's execution, with much to be proud of...

[JFay @JohnPaddyFay]

But. Met great people, made contacts, linked Jacko, Tolpuddle, Emancipation Day, Kadooment, Peterloo, Hillsborough, Chartism and Slavery...

[JFay @JohnPaddyFay]

@BabatundeOgunir only has 25 followers and poor old @MttwBoon only has one - and I think that must be a mistake!

[JFay @JohnPaddyFay]

Results. Noble failure or abject failure? 182 followers in 50 days is hardly an unstoppable social media juggernaut, is it?

[Alison Maffitt @samilegend_4]

@JohnPaddyFay Fingers xd for you! Maybe time for Alan Partridge type methods? #cheese #thirdseries

[JFay @JohnPaddyFay]

Method. Thinking "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" I hoped to create so much interest in Dominica 1814 I'd tweet my way to a spin-off show.

[JFay @JohnPaddyFay]

When I was at school you always had to have method, results and conclusion when writing up an experiment. So...

[JFay @JohnPaddyFay]

Day 50. Twitter experiment ends today. I was told we'd know by now if there was to be a third series, but no news yet. So, how to finish it?

[Matthew Boon @MttwBoon]

“@ThomasPride: VOTE; who should play Nick in C4's drama about Nick Clegg? http://t.co/oVrrANDjfF”

Great news, Nick! Long overdue, mate.

[Matthew Boon @MttwBoon]

Mind you, it could turn out to be the usual @Channel4 hatchet job. They recently made me look a right fool. Take out an injunction, Nick.

[jeannie @petitejean1]

#TheMill @channel4 Saw a Labour politician who cared about the working classes.

Blimey, I thought that was an urban myth!

[Tracy @TABwrite]

#TheMill and #TheVillage. Great to see period dramas that reflect the lives of the working poor. #Labour should remember its roots.

[Peter @BabatundeOgunir]

I wonder if #TheMill in Lancaster is on strike. I could walk there and back in a week. But I may be needed on the picket line tomorrow.

[4Viewers @4Viewers]

@pottergames_12 No info on a third series yet but we've got our fingers crossed!
