This bill was designed and passed by the Democrat State House Representatives, Democrat State House Senators and then signed by Democrat Governor Polis on 4/10/2025 for final passage. These individuals have met the elements of 18 USC 241 & 18 USC 242 which is a violation of Federal Civil Rights laws. Colorado’s SB25-003 (signed April 2025) kicks in on August 1, 2026—the exact day we celebrate our state’s 150th birthday.

It doesn’t ban existing semis but prohibits new purchases or transfers of most semiautomatic rifles, shotguns with detachable magazines, and gas-operated semis unless you first:
• Get a “firearms safety course eligibility card” from your county sheriff (name-based background check + sheriff fee + $52 state record fee)
• Complete a mandatory in-person 4-hour or 12-hour safety course (hunter-ed basic or full extended) within the prior 5 years
• Pass a 90% exam

No free classes. No online option. No grandfathering for new buyers.

Here’s the kicker: You still can’t get ahead of it. As of today (May 2026), CPW’s online application for eligibility cards won’t open until July—giving lawful gun owners just weeks (maybe 10-30 days) to navigate sheriffs, background checks, instructors, and a brand-new state database before the deadline. No pre-enrollment. No early courses.

Law-abiding Coloradans who obey every rule get buried in new red tape, fees, and delays. Felons, straw purchasers, and black-market traffickers? Zero impact—they already ignore the laws.

This isn’t “safety training.” It’s a targeted barrier on the constitutional right to keep and bear arms in common use, layered on top of a decade of escalating restrictions while crime spiked through 2022.

DOJ—investigate the implementation and the bill sponsors who crafted it. Hold them accountable. Restore our rights before August 1. Colorado’s 150th birthday should celebrate freedom, not another infringement.

I wish this was fake but residents near Driscoll’s berry farms report a 38% higher incidence of childhood cancer.

Santa Cruz County is the heart of California's $3B strawberry industry and home to Driscoll's world headquarters.

Coincidentally, it also has the second-highest childhood cancer rate of any county in California.

At 22.5 childhood cancers per 100,000 children, the rate is more than 38% above the statewide average of 16.3.

Over 5,060 acres of pesticides linked to those same cancers are sprayed in the Pajaro Valley every year to grow 40% of California's strawberries.

Worst of all, it’s often next to schools and homes where children spend most of their time.

According to the latest data, over 2,000,000 pounds of pesticides were applied just in this school district’s area alone.

Driscoll’s is reported to apply two together:
1. 1,3-D: fumigant used to sterilize the soil, officially listed by the state as a carcinogen, causes tumors in multiple animal studies
2. Chloropicrin: originally deployed as a chemical weapon in World War I, so toxic that it kills or disables test animals before scientists can even evaluate its long-term carcinogenicity

But yeah it’s probably just a coincidence all the kids are getting cancer?
