There is an enormous disparity between the numbers coming from the State-run news agency (Erdoğan well ahead) and the other independent news agencies (Erdoğan not well ahead) - the international press needs to take care in presenting the full picture.
This is exactly the point: if you put principle above profit, then this isn't hard. Turn off the censored country — and let the people of that country take care of the problem.
A telling quote from DHS sec Mayorkas that has passed unnoticed:
"Our president has led the expansion of lawful pathways more than anyone else in our history."
I think Mayorkas is subtly giving the WH/Dems a good message that balances order and values.

@MikeIsaac it’s the main reason I use TW less. I’m offended by a whole host of factors that may have driven me away anyway…. but this makes the daily user experience objectively less helpful. It’s like if Reddit randomly sorted all posts & comments. You end up seeing less quality, period
Hours after antifascists ID'd a Springfield, Ill., cop as a neo-Nazi, Chief Scarlette took action: “Remove his badge. Remove his gun belt. Remove his vest. His shirt."
"He walked out of here in his pants & his undershirt.”

Lots of remarkable things about this jobs report, but I just realized -- I think -- that the labor force participation rate for PRIME AGED WOMEN IS AS HIGH AS IT'S EVER BEEN, at 77.5 percent.
This is no longer just one scandal, or a simple partisan dispute. This is an earthquake for the Article 3 branch of government. Silence will not work. A full explanation, and a fulsome reform, is the only way forward.
