“We have a SERIOUS problem right now, and that game last night highlighted it. We have a LOT of flopping going on… A LOT of no-calls. The refs gotta have some type of accountability. Fans are starting to think it’s RIGGED”
- Kendrick Perkins
"Would Michigan have probably beaten UConn anyway if the fouls were skewed evenly? Yes."
I'd argue HELL NO. The drop off in our point guards is huge, the refs put Silas in early foul trouble. UConn would have kept pulling away if the calls were more fair. That flagrant on Karaban rarely gets called. Refs ultimately called a 5th on Silas for this which we all know is complete bullshit.

Michigan had an incredible run but the way they played in that final, they were far from the best college team ever. I'd take our 24' team any day. We all know the refs officiated a horrible game and coincidentally had UConn cover the spread.
Would Michigan have probably beaten UConn anyway if the fouls were skewed evenly? Yes.
Is Michigan a deserving champion? Yes.
Was UConn squeezed in the first half? Again, yes.
Should Breeding and Anderson have been on the whistle? No.
All four of these things can be true.
So the hook and hold call is relatively new (2018-19) and last night was the first instance it was ever called in a championship game. 28 FT attempts was the 2nd most ever in a championship game (33 in 1957/ 3 OT game) I know we’re beating a dead horse but wtf?
