@AuronMacintyre I'll guess it wasn't white people who decided to discriminate against white people and take away all their power in every way possible.
Sure, Pakistan makes good use of Chinese AAM, but I meant in terms of Chinese air defense, this kind of long range missile means the fighters don't have to carry them anymore, with their small (4-6) magazines, let a Cubby Girl carry them and shoot them.
See page 42.

@zhao_dashuai With 300 km of range, you don't even need to carry the PL-16 internally for stealth, the enemy won't be able to see you. In fact, you could carry them in a bomber or transport, no need for a fast manuverable fighter jet.
@nuhor_lir_guren@Alex4Milan@AngelicaOung The US may want to airlift technical staff. But what about their immediate and Extended family? You are asking them to pullup roots and move forever. What about their cultural amenities. boba tea and Taiwanese restaurants. Green cards for 7 million Taiwanese? Not a paperclip op.
@nuhor_lir_guren@Alex4Milan@AngelicaOung Looks like things changed when I wasn't looking and you are correct. But unless the US can kidnap the top brains at TSMC, the AZ plants will be frozen out of updates from Taiwan if there are hostilities. Some say the US will bomb the Taiwan fabs to keep China from getting them.
@AngelicaOung Even back in 2006 California had no choice but to order steel from China to rebuild their bridge that fell in 1989.

@Alex4Milan@AngelicaOung "TSMC completes the talent and plant transfer"
It's my understanding that it was never the intention to transfer everything to AZ. In particular, Taiwan would always have the most advanced chips and AZ would make inferior previous generations.
