States already have to tax income at around half the rate that the federal government does, and if the federal government could just spend less on defense they could easily achieve this. It’s less practical for states to increase taxes to fund it.

@NYGovPres_67 @marilynomics The bill was for public sector collective bargaining. Public sector unions shouldn’t even exist. Even FDR said this. It’s a dogshit bill that allows already ineffective Virginia public services to bargain for more taxpayer money.
