There have been points deductions handed to clubs for breaches of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.

Chelsea, after “proactive self-reporting, admissions of breach and exceptional cooperation,” got a £10.75m fine and a one-year suspended transfer ban for historic issues relating to payments made by third parties associated with the club.

So you would expect far more extreme sanctions for 30 instances of non-cooperation, AND Profitability and Sustainability breaches, AND failure to provide full details of remuneration in relevant contracts with its manager and players, AND failing to provide financial information related to sponsorship income across nine seasons, AND failure to comply with UEFA’s financial rules…
