The Sandhill Crane floating nest here shows it can hold at least 20 pounds when they are both on the nest. I think the nest is probably stronger than it looks. Looking forward to hatch day for all the nesters. Shouldn’t be too long off now.

Here is the Great Blue Heron floofing when a pair of Canada Geese were getting too close below the bird in the water. This floofer is a real beauty! I feel so lucky to be seeing this bird at the pond!
