@RJGotAGoni @DunnSdunn2 I agree with a lot of your points @RJGotAGoni. What can we do as early career professionals to help with this situation/change the system?
@MattHarvilleDPT 2/2: I forged my own path: took students, self studied, was involved with research and am now at a job I love which involves management and I would have never gotten here if I wasn’t denied from those programs. Keep your head up, ask for help and make your own path.
@MattHarvilleDPT 1/2: I applied/interviewed with 3 ortho programs to then not get in anywhere because I “wasn’t the right fit” after asking for feedback. Out of school I thought I was doing all the right things (top of my class, research projects, founded student run clinic, etc.).
Dear PTs
We need to be checking all our patients blood pressure as a standard part of our evaluation.
Young female headaches low back BP 165/135 referred to MD for further screening. We may be the first contact through direct access

Grandparents are carrying their grandkids because of PT.
Kids are playing touch football with their cousins because of PT.
Happy Thanksgiving to the PTs and PTAs who make so many so thankful!

Not sure why we vilify spine flexion as a risk for low back pain because people have pain with a flexion movement. That’s like saying walking is bad when people have pain walking. We don’t have campaigns telling people not to walk
Putting together a medical equipment drive for people displaced by fires in California. Please DM if you are willing and able to help. Thank you so much for considering people who left behind so much, including their assistive devices and medical equipment. #hcldr#pinksocks

@LindseyPlassDPT Hi @heidiojha! I think previous interactions can determine future medical usage —> +PT imaging before hip injury = PT first and less medical usage (at least in ideal world)
@RyanSmith_DPT Great story @RyanSmith_DPT I have a lot of similar feelings in my practice esp w. Persistent pain. Any thoughts on resources to getting closer to therapist #3 in ur example?
