DNA is the smoking gun showing that there is a Mind behind the universe:
"Since Darwinโs day, a wide variety of people had taken an anti-evolution stance, but no one had built a positive case for Intelligent Design.
But it is not enough to show the inadequacies of natural causes; we must go on to demonstrate the plausibility of intelligent causes.
And the hallmark of intelligence is specified complexity. The structure of DNA is precisely parallel to the structure of languages and computer programs. Can we infer that specified complexity in DNA is likewise the product of an intelligent agent?
Unless we define science from the outset in terms of naturalistic philosophy, the answer should be yes."
Two fairly well-known people in "conservative" political circles have taken to airing their distaste for Calvinism on X. The objections, many of which are strawmen, have been answered repeatedly for centuries, yet they persist on airing their objections on X of all places. When one Reformed pastor/scholar (@DanielRHyde) offered multiple times to dialogue and share with them the historic Reformed Confessional understanding of these things away from the noise of X, the response was crickets. It seems to me that they're not interested in dialogue, or in seeking clarity, but clicks, and adding followers. Maybe it's time to stop clicking...
Not an issue, and I think to be expected, as you alluded to, given the new system. And it's probably good that INTs are happening now because they can learn from them. I think the regular season will be better--however, we should probably expect more INTs than what Jalen has thrown in previous years, esp within the first 4 games or so.
Just curious: I wonder if some are getting tripped up over the word "government." For example, it seems (I could be wrong!) that all sides would agree that individual magistrates are accountable to God and must promote laws that are in keeping with God's moral law (after all, Scripture is the only infallible rule for faith AND practice/life). In the case of the magistrates collectively (the government), this means they must promote true religion, i.e., they must promote only that which is consistent with the only infallible rule for faith/life--God's Word. There seems to be a breakdown between what all individual magistrates must do, and what magistrates collectively must do. Anyway, I may be off base, just a thought.
In redemptive history, Israel is first a person (Gen. 32:28) then a corporate people. OT Israel typified the fulfillment of what was promised in Christ. He is the true Israel of God (Hos. 11:1; Matt. 2:15) who makes Jews and Gentiles Israel in him (Eph. 2:14โ18; Gal. 3:28; 6:16).
@LigonDuncan An essential resource--a real God-send (and very timely for my DMin research project)! Thanks to you and all who contributed...just a huge blessing!
