There are Local Government elections. State House of Assembly. House of Representatives. Senate. Governorship. These positions are not reserved for a special class of people. They are open to citizens who are willing to step forward.

Join a party. Contest. Organize. Mobilize.

And yes, votes count. They count when you show up. They count when you participate. They count when you stay engaged beyond social media debates.

Women, please come out too. Step forward so you can be voted for. We need more women in power. We need thinkers. We need competent leaders. We need people who understand policy, governance, and responsibility.

Insult if you must. Disagree if you wish. That is your right.

Observe when they're active and when they're not.

Let them know that you're noticing their online activities.

Engage with them like you know them in real life.

Ask them how they're fairing, & give them a voice.

Support whatever they're doing online that is legitimate.

If you notice their absence for too long, go into their DMs to chat with them.

Like, repost or quote their contributions to your posts.

Celebrate them and their milestones.

Write about them in a way that other X users would take interest in their pages.

Create boundaries, & do not hesitate to cut them off, when they cross your redline.

And be consistent with what you do.

Gradually, you would be building an audience, not just followers.

And then you would be building a community of loyal (not ass kissing), non entitled audience and community.

They would start putting on posts notifications for your posts.

And when you are not active for long, they would notice your absence.

Everything that I have written here, most of you can attest to them.

You have personally experienced them from me.

This is how I grew and have sustained my influence & relevance for almost 6 years.

Otherwise, your growth or influence would just be ephemeral.
