I’m not sure what stars aligned and what fate would have it that my favorite band of all time Oasis would do the impossible and reunite —after breaking up on this very same date almost 20 years ago— and perform near me in Chicago just days before the twilight of my 30s fades away. I am overwhelmed tonight at the biblical, celestial, majestical, and emotional conclusion of whatever stage of life this is for me. Surely, this is the peak, though, and it’s all downhill from here.
