I’m looking forward to connecting with investors, partners, and stakeholders from across the global healthcare community at the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference this week.
On Tuesday, January 13, I’ll highlight @BeOneMedicines' transformative goal leadership and progress in treating B-cell malignancies - and share how our long-term strategy is grounded in innovation, discipline, and a deep commitment to patients.
I’ve been coming to JPM for the last 25 years – it’s always an important moment to exchange ideas, discuss the future of oncology, and engage in meaningful conversations about where healthcare is headed.
I truly believe that, together, we are how the world stops cancer. #JPM2026
At @BeOneMedicines, we believe Cancer Has No Borders, and Neither Do We. That's why we brought nearly 100 patient advocates together at #ASH2025 for our AI Innovation Lab, to explore how AI can transform the blood cancer patient journey.
While there, we learned:
1) Patients are already turning to AI - we need to meet them there.
A story was shared about a blood cancer patient who uploaded scan results into AI before speaking to a doctor. The information received was inaccurate and almost a decade old. So, while the tools still need to improve, we can’t wait for that happen: patients are already using AI, and the broader cancer community must help them navigate it safely with trustworthy information.
2) We're witnessing a fundamental shift: patients are becoming CEOs of their own health.
Data Deloitte shared shows 51% of patients are willing to tell their doctors they disagree, up from single digits just years ago. This shift does not undermine clinical expertise - it reflects patients’ growing desire to participate actively in decisions about their care. For all of us, this means ensuring patients have clearer information and tools that help them make confident decisions with their clinicians.
3) AI + human judgment is where the real power lies.
The cancer journey is deeply human - and AI can’t change that. It’s not here to replace human judgment or compassion, but when developed responsibly and grounded in trusted data, AI can amplify human expertise, enhance decision-making, and help care teams deliver more informed, compassionate, and connected care.
What's next?
This was the first conversation of many. We're going to continue this work with patients, advocates, clinicians, and partners across the cancer community to shape AI-enabled tools that:
-- accelerate blood cancer education
-- improve data integrity and access to trusted information
-- make care more personal and human
I’m very humbled to be named the 2025 National Health winner for the Entrepreneur Of The Year® program by EY. An entrepreneur is only as strong as their team. All success – and recognition like this - comes from their ability to help bring a vision to life. Thank you to @BeOneMedicines almost 12,000 employees and the many patients and families who have accompanied us on our journey. #EOYUS #EYSGF

Each year in the U.S., nearly 2 million people are diagnosed with cancer. Globally, it’s the second leading cause of death—and by 2040, cases are projected to surge to 30 million, with more than 15 million deaths. At BeOne, we’re confronting this staggering challenge head-on.
One year ago, we opened our flagship U.S. biologics manufacturing and clinical R&D facility in Hopewell, NJ—a major milestone in our mission to deliver innovative cancer medicines to more patients, faster.
@Johnvoyler, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO, and Matt Shaulis, GM, North America, reflect on the impact Hopewell is having, and how it’s advancing our bold mission to eradicate cancer through innovation, speed, and access.

At @BeOneMedicines, we’re building a future where innovation in oncology is accessible to every patient, everywhere.
Cancer impacts millions globally, yet the most advanced treatments often remain out of reach for far too many. We’re here to change that.
From conducting clinical trials across 45+ countries to engaging patients directly in our R&D process, BeOne is rethinking every step of drug development. Our globally inclusive model isn’t just faster and more efficient—it’s more equitable.
With over 1.7 million patients reached, we’re proving that bold science and meaningful access can go hand in hand.
