Not the result I came for, but I’ll never take standing on the podium for granted. Every race adds another chapter, and I’m far from finished.

🚨Benjamin Mendy Speaks Out After Being Freed of All Rape Charges:
🗣️ “Life was tough… really tough. No one believed me. My life was ruined overnight. No family close by, no friends checking in, not even the City players. Nobody. I stopped playing football.
Everything I had built was gone. I was in custody for over a couple of months for something I knew nothing about. It was really so depressing. There were times I felt like giving up completely.
But something inside me kept saying, “Keep your head up. This too shall pass.” Through those months in custody I didn’t even receive my pay from Manchester City. Bills, stress, loneliness… life was tough in ways I never imagined.
The silence from people I thought were close cut deeper than anything else. I lost two years of my career for a crime that I never committed. Two full years of my prime just taken away.
I’m a free man now. The court cleared me of everything. But the damage has been done. The headlines, the accusations, the time I lost… you can’t just press reset on that. I’m sitting here wondering what next to do. Where do I go from here? Football was my life and now I’m starting from zero.
Life is so cruel to men sometimes. One accusation and the world turns its back before the truth even has a chance. I lost years, I lost reputation, I lost peace. Yet I’m still standing. I’m free, I’m breathing, and somehow I’m still hopeful that something good can come after all this darkness.
To anyone going through something similar: hold on. The night is long, but it doesn’t last forever. I’m proof of that… even if the scars remain.”
most people in my generation and the ones before are cowards, so they speak in different third person languages.
our children and the ones before them are different, i love them. but they need to learn to understand what’s beneath icebergs. what distinguishes us is inside u
“For Africa, we must move beyond being consumers of technology. We must become creators, developing African solutions to African challenges and building businesses capable of taking those solutions to the world.” - Cardoso

"We are here on earth to make a positive difference - not to prove we are right."
In my coaching and teaching, I have repeated this wise quote from Peter Drucker hundreds of times. I can never say it too much. We can never hear it too much.
Think of a world where we could respectfully diagree. Without anger. Without judgment. With love.
Life is good.

Many of us stereotype ourselves without even realizing it.
We say things like, “That’s just who I am.”
“I’m not creative.”
“I’m terrible with names.”
“I always have to be in control.”
We repeat these stories as if they were facts.
Lao Tzu reminds us: “When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.”
The moment you stop insisting on who you are - the leader, the expert, the one who’s “supposed to know,” you make space for who you could become.
You don’t have to throw your identity away. Just loosen your grip on it.
Let go of the story you’ve been telling yourself.
And watch how much more of you shows up.
Life is good.

how you view leadership will influence how you lead.
you can only be as effective as your environment systems and culture.
what we wish is one, what’s reality is another.

If you can do that, you will take the power of your decision making to a whole other level. In many cases, you will be able to test how that principle would have worked in the past or in various situations that will help you refine it, and in all cases, it will allow you to compound your understanding to a degree that would otherwise be impossible. It will also take emotion out of the equation. Algorithms work just like words in describing what you would like to have done, but they are written in a language that the computer can understand. If you don’t know how to speak this language, you should either learn it or have someone close to you who can translate for you. Your children and their peers must learn to speak this language because it will soon be as important or more important than any other language. #principleoftheday
when change begins most of us aren’t aware of it until it’s impact begins to bite.
🇳🇬 is experiencing a significant change which many aren’t currently aware of, but, it has started.
unfortunately, we lack skilled managers/leaders observing/listening. it’s not about headlines
Think of a person who makes you feel bad, guilty, angry, or crazy.
How much sleep is that person losing over you tonight?
Probably none.
Who is being punished? You.
Who is doing the punishing? You.
Let it go.
When we hold on to resentment, we carry the pain long after the moment has passed. The other person may have moved on, forgotten, or never even realized the impact. Yet we replay the story again and again in our mind.
Letting go is not about saying what happened was acceptable. It is about making peace and moving on.
Let it go.
Life is good.
