@BenHorrocks11 @AGRICOMMODITIE1 @DustinBenge I would also say that 8:28 does not say “for God’s glory.” It says “those who are called to his purpose/plan.” (πρόθεσιν) I suppose we can argue Calvinism all day. As a Wesleyan, I can’t fathom how suffering brings God glory. Blessings brothers.

NLT translates it as such to communicate the theology of the entire pericope. A word for word translation does not specifically say it but implies by the context.

@NicholasDee9 @SpaceX I think astronomers are trying to preserve opportunities for scientific discovery. In that sense, we are quite forward-looking. Global internet access is wonderful, if folks can afford the technology involved in accessing it. But we should think of the needs of science as well.

@NoIdea8 @JavierAglohans @SpaceX Their albedo interferes with astrophotography and astronomy in the visible spectrum from earth. Earth-based telescopes continue to be vital for scientific study. These sats create long streaks of light in our long exposure photographs. Reducing albedo would be helpful.

@Cinemark Really enjoyed the new Star Wars IX movie. I did not enjoy 30 minutes of previews and advertisements beforehand. I paid to watch the movie, not adverts. I’m okay with a couple movie previews but adverts-no. I’d rather pay a little more and have it start on time.
