Something that always strikes me about 90s 3d is how unbelievably ass the tools were. They made this entire movie by adjusting the model pose with SLIDERS. Didn't even see what he did for a few seconds. Unbelievable amount of trial and error here. Quake is also like this
Druski gets VULNERABLE about his comedy coming from growing up with an abusive father, saying he watched his mom and brother go through it and would always try to make everyone LAUGH to make their situation at home feel a little better 😲
He also opens up about his brother later being diagnosed with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, which he connects to the trauma they experienced growing up 💔
“I would always try to be, ‘Oh, the funny guy,’ maybe at dinner after or maybe after the next day goes by, and I’m trying to lift everybody’s vibe up… My comedy comes from that place of healing, wanting to make our situation better at home.”
This is still her best project for me.
Shame, Smartwater, CPR, I’m There, Prayed Up… this was such an authentic reflection of her artistry. I love all of her albums, but this project is truly home base for me. There’s a certain atmosphere that this project captures.
