I have difficult news to share. After several challenging years, and a funding round we were unable to close, our company has been declared bankrupt. This is the company behind both @DietDoctor and @JoinHava.
If you are a subscriber, I expect your first questions are about your subscription and whether the apps will keep working. Let me answer those directly (this message has also been emailed to all customers).
Will the services keep working?
Right now, yes. Diet Doctor and Hava are currently still running, and you can keep using them. But I can't guarantee how long. A bankruptcy trustee has taken over the company and will try to sell the apps and websites to a new owner who can keep them running. If a buyer is found quickly, you may not notice any change. If no buyer is found, the services will shut down, possibly very soon. I'll let you know if there's news, though I can't promise advance warning before any shutdown.
Your subscription and billing
To avoid being charged again for a service whose future is uncertain, you may cancel your subscription at any time. How you do that depends on where you signed up:
- Apple App Store: on your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel there.
- Google Play: open the Play Store app, go to Subscriptions, and cancel there.
- If you signed up on our website, https://t.co/r0aBxxWKmw or https://t.co/oFFPbLxmQT, log in there to cancel (for Diet Doctor, then go to your profile and click on “My membership”)
Cancelling stops future charges. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
We're also working on pausing any new charges due to the current uncertainty, but to be sure of not being charged, consider cancelling as described above.
Refunds
I'm not able to promise refunds as the trustee now controls the company's finances, and in a bankruptcy prepaid subscriptions generally cannot be refunded by the company. If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, you can request a refund directly from Apple or Google, who decide these case by case. The most reliable way to avoid further cost is to cancel.
Your data
We don't have an automatic way to export your data. If there's information in the app you'd like to keep, such as your weight history or notes, please save it manually while the service is still online, for example with screenshots. Once a service shuts down, that information may not be recoverable.
A small ask
If you happen to know a company or person who might want to take over https://t.co/oFFPbLxmQT, https://t.co/r0aBxxWKmw, or the apps and keep them running for users like you, I'd be grateful if you put them in touch with me. My DMs are open.
Thank you. Being trusted with people's health is a real privilege. I’m proud of what we built over the years and grateful you were part of it.
I still believe, as strongly as ever, that there are better ways to reach metabolic health and a healthy weight than counting calories. Whether through lower-carb eating or a more flexible satiety approach, focusing on food quality tends to work better over the long term. I hope you carry some of that with you, whatever happens to the apps.
I hope our services continue under a new owner. If they don't, I hope you got real value from them while they were here. If you have any questions, please reach out.
Best,
Andreas Eenfeldt

The NUMBER ONE customer request is finally here.
Not only that, the team really delivered.
It's now possible to import new recipes into the @JoinHava app. You can see their nutrition and satiety scores, and easily save them for later, or log them.
You can import via image(s) of the recipe – e.g. take a picture of a screen or cookbook. You can import via link (e.g. from social media), or just by describing a recipe (e.g. "a popular high-satiety breakfast recipe").
What's more, you even get an AI-generated image for your recipe (after 30 seconds or so). I like it!
Please try it out and tell me what you think. What should we improve or add?

This graph shows what happens when people eat higher-satiety food. It's based on over 250,000 days of eating.
X-axis: Hava satiety score (0–100). Higher = more filling per calorie. Y-axis: Total daily calories.
The average American diet scores about 27. This drives increased hunger and overeating.
Move to a score of 70+ and calories drop by half — without hunger, without restriction. People just naturally eat less because they feel full.
Aiming for a score of about 50 is a great start and likely enough for most people to get a good weight and health.
This is what Hava measures. Every food gets a satiety score (just take a picture of a meal or scan a barcode). Eat higher on the scale, as much or as little as you want, and your body does the rest.
Take the quiz, and you can try it for free:

There have been a lot of great updates to the @JoinHava app lately. Here's one of them. Just click the protein or calorie numbers to get all the foods in a meal sorted by that factor (by gram or calories).
You can also show the carb grams or fiber, and obviously our satiety score.
Super convenient to switch with just the click of a button.
Try it out and let me know if there's anything you're missing in the app.

So you're probably thinking 2026 is the year you'll finally get the weight off.
Don't fall into the ineffective calorie counting trap. Use foods natural hunger reducing properties to🔽energy intake instead. It's simple, sustainable & it works!
And you can track satiety @JoinHava
Check out all the updates in the @JoinHava app, including some of the most-asked-for improvements:

Another nice @JoinHava improvement is out. Food search now happens in milliseconds, it's virtually instant. The results are also better than ever, brands are handled well (easy to find) and there's also personalization so that your favorites appear higher on the list.
Download Hava to try it out, it's the only app that focuses on weight loss without hunger – foods that make you feel fuller. Eat higher scoring foods and you'll eat less and lose weight, it's that simple. And it's remarkably powerfull.

Some will say they have incredible luck using the SPC model (@DrEenfeldt is a great follow here).
And Ive seen a lot of positive anecdotal evidence from the @JoinHava app that helps you choose foods that are more satiating.
It’s only day 3, but the using the Hava app (@JoinHava) is getting under my skin in a good way.
I knew how to boost satiety already, but using the app to track satiety-per-calorie is different.
I’m absolutely stuffed eating moderate calories. Stuffed!
Here’s my day 👇🏻
The latest version of the @JoinHava app has improved search, making it far easier to find branded products (they also rarely appear if you’re NOT searching for them).
More cool improvements coming up, despite the fact that lately we’re mostly refining the introduction for new customers. Once that’s done we’ll return the focus to improving core functionality.
