The vision of Brave Bear Trust is to keep children everywhere safe from exploitation. We achieve this through our story book 'Brave' & accompanying resources.
This stat is WILD! That's why we're working upstream with children, to safely raise awareness so they know for the rest of their lives how to keep themselves and others safe from exploitation. Thanks @WalkFree@ilo@UN for delivering this latest report.
It was great to hear Brave get a shout out on Floodlight, the Anti-Slavery Collective podcast.
They discuss Brave, the book and our work. Princess Eugenie mentions the school visit she came on with Brave, and how we teach children about justice and fairness. Thank you @TASC_org!

Our Brave spotlight this month is on Egypt🇪🇬
The fact that children are particularly vulnerable to trafficking and exploitation in Egypt is exactly why we wanted to talk about it this month. We hope that one day we can use the Brave story to educate and equip children in Egypt❤️
Thanks for having us @WNOtweet we loved working with you to raise awareness about #exploitation and #HumanTrafficking in such a creative and engaging way! @MetOpera are you up for doing this with your community team in NYC Schools alongside Madam Butterfly? #opera#education
What does exploitation mean?
In Autumn 2021 and Spring 2023, we worked with @joinbravebear and composer Helen Woods on a project called Brave, which uses the story of Puccini’s Madam Butterfly to teach children about child exploitation.

🇺🇬 update!
Brave has been reviewed this month by professionals, such as social workers, teachers and managers, in different locations/contexts in Uganda!
We're looking forward to hearing from children through a pilot. Feeling encouraged about the potential for Brave here!
Our April spotlight is on Uganda!🇺🇬
Our Global English Brave books have been taken to Uganda to be reviewed by experts, so we wanted to shed some light on:
- the situation with child trafficking
- what the contextual risk factors are
- what is being done to combat this issue
Thank you for partnering with @joinbravebear we had a lot of fun & are always thankful to raise awareness about #humantrafficking appropriately with children
Congratulations to the children @YsgolGynLlanrug in #Caernarfon on their fantastic performance as part of our Brave project.
Brave seeks to educate children about the issue of child exploitation in an age-appropriate way.

It's #antislaveryday in the UK. We want to share with our UK friends the petition by @StopSlavery_Co (below) and for our International friends, we want to celebrate 'Brave' being translated this past year, so more children can be kept safe around the world!
Get slavery out of the UK's supply chain ❌ This #Antislaveryday we're calling on the Government to ban all products tainted by forced labour and exploitation. Join the fight by signing our petition here https://t.co/8p8CYEIVhJ
